Was looking at hb 360 and was wondering if anyone knew if you have to have a si unit or will it work with a di unit?

Depends on which 360.
The 360 can be supported by any Humminbird unit that has an Ethernet connection. It is an Ethernet accessory.

The MEGA 360 is only supported by units that have DI+ or SI+ in the name. It has a transducer port connection and uses the two SI circuits.

Both 360's are rotating Side Imaging transducers so they do both 360 and Side Imaging, but not at the same time.
