If you only had one weekend to fish for whites in central Texas, when would it be? Right now, it's looking like the first weekend in March, might could be the 2nd weekend. Those would be the easiest to make for me anyways.

Thanks

Mike

The pat answers are in order:
the best weekend is the one right before or right after you go
it depends
the best weekend is three days after a big rain

But IMHO, early March is too early for anyplace north or west of Austin. Should be fine for south or east of Austin.

Is this a bank fishing question?

If you’re in NTX I’d say May 20th. Or whatever weekend falls around it.

I just put together a spreadsheet of all of my white bass fishing trips and how much I caught, and the first weekend of March was on the low end of my successes.

Here's a graph of the pivot table:

The graph shows that I am indeed in the bottom 5% of anglers on this forum.

Best time for me, I fish the Brazos, is last couple weeks of February. Went today to see how it was, they are starting, but not stacked up yet. I suspect after Valentines Day, it will be off the hook. Did manage this nice 12LB Striper. My PB and first one of the year on the Brazos.

Z289,

What part of the brazos do you fish. I fish from the shore in Graham, TX. I would like to fish a spot that I can put my boat in.

Thank you! What is the bait of choice? Are you still
Dead-sticking for them?
