We invited our son, his wife, Quinn and Hermione to go camping. This was Hermiones and Quinns first camping trip ever.
We set up our tents then comenc to fishing.


Leo and Mathew baited the Abu 7000s with Tilapia to fish for alligator gar. While we waited for a bite on the big reels, Leo and I walked along the bank casting 1/32 JIGLYF jigs and caught about a dozen white crappie in less than 2ft of water. Some were starting to get there tuxedos.






At about 7pm we got a bite on the big reels. Our son set the hook and faught it for a while. He caught his first alligator gar for 2024. It measured 74in.

We fished till 2am and had 2 more runs. By then we were ready to hit the sack.

On Sunday we launched the boat and fished along the banks up stream with the same jigs from Saturday and caught 30 crappie and 6 bluegill and one bass.
