Decided to brave the cold & North winds yesterday because we had cloud cover all day & the number of people on the lake would be down. Got to the lake around 11 am & fished until 4:30...when I decided to hit one last spot...and the motor wouldn't start. Naturally I was as far away from the ramp as humanly possible & couldn't "drift" there due to wind direction. Very thankful to a guy that gave me a tow right before dark. It would have been a long cold night if not for him. Also thankful to the fisherman in the parking lot that helped me raise the motor manually. Guess the battery is dead, but not sure...taking it in Monday to check out everything. So...In the 5 or so hours I fished I only caught 14 bass... But 2 were the quality girls I was looking for. Next week I meet with the Orthopedic surgeon to discuss shoulder options, so may be out of fishing for a while...we will see. Could be living vicariously through you guys for a spell...

Sorry to hear you only caught 14 bass😔. Bummer your motor didn't want to start, it's not a good feeling especially being that far from boat ramp. It's a good thing there was someone out there to help you get back.

Doc...I totally agree...always something...meeting with the surgeon in the morning & getting the hot water heater replaced in the afternoon. Took the boat in to the shop this morning & hoping the washer holds on tin memorial day when they have a lot of appliance sales.
