Trying to gather important information - from anyone who fishes from the banks of the Elm Fork of the Trinity FROM Lake Ray Roberts Dam TO HWY 380 Park Lewisville Lake. Yes, I already know how bad the jams are, and want to know if that has changed the fishing from 2023 and looking back to when the jams happened. Any first-hand information is valuable to this research.

I have fished directly below the dam for a few years now since the jams started building. No longer seeing sand bass north of 380, very few crappie and skinny large mouth. Carp, buffs and spotted gar have been plentiful. Lots of baby cats, but nothing with real size.
My previous honeyhole for bank fishing was south of 380, which I am unable to even access now.

S of 380 looks like the border. Lots of Hispanics. Lots, and I mean lots of trash. Walked up on some guys a few hundred yards S of HW380 firing a pistola. Might as well be fishing in a dumpster with water in it. There’s fish there. I won’t be going back tho

I have fished south of 380 twice in the last week or so and there are some fish there but man it is busy over there. Lots of trash and guys standing every place you can get to the water. I won't be going back this year..

Unfortunately several bank spots are littered with trash, my buddy and I are always taking trash bags along with fishing poles now a days; as far as demographic it's all kinds of people, it sucks all of them exhibit deplorable behavior.
If it's legal ain't no way in hell it's catch and release, it's CATCH & GREASE, except ROUGH (TRASH) Fish

The log jams still have it all jacked up. I quit fishing it this year. The numbers have been going down since the jams formed and now it's not worth the time. I've fished that stretch for 20 years now and it sucks that it no longer produces.
What a maroon!
