What’s with all y’all breaking rods? Maybe time for a new brand??? Ha, a hacksaw breaks them all the same 😊 Not really!! Those things were hard as hell to cut. I got about halfway through each time and used a hammer on em. Haha. They weren’t all “broke”, two had guides falling out, the other one snapped the tip off before I even had a chance to tie a hook on it. It was defective.

You hook Nessi? No. They are great rods for the money. I have broken some by dead sticking fish. I try to take care of what I own, but I do get careless from time to time.

I have two of those rods and have had no issues. I won't be surprised when they break one day since they are "Made in China." I will not buy another one after finding that info out.

I have one Cara, 7’ I believe it is an XXH “grass” rod? Something like that, I’ve put that one through the wringer and it keeps on ticking.

I used to be a huge fan of the carrot stick rods and everyone of them would break just like this on hook sets.

I have 26 Falcons, its all I use, haven’t broken one in 10 years and I fish a lot!

I've got two of the old original Falcon American Made MH worm rods that are probably approaching their mid 30's age wise and still use them. They've both fought some very brutal battles. I finally had to take one of the them to the shop on Fork and have a ceramic eye replaced last year. I used that one Friday on Fork most of the day. You couldn't buy a tougher rod back then. I think they actually still make that rod but in China. Wouldn't trust it at all. Probably the HD or EVO series I'm guessing.
