Anybody have any tips or spots for Bardwell from the bank?? Nobody seems to have a reply for the Ellis co post I made for my son and me. We like Bardwell and have heard its good for cats.

Never fished Bardwell before so I can't help you there but I know there's got to be some good fish there. Surely someone here will chime in with some local knowledge. After taking a look at it on my Navionics, I think it would be a pretty simple lake to find fish on. Right now I would focus on the upper Northwest end in shallow water. If you're bank fishing I would go to Waxahachie Creek park and fish anywhere along the bank there.

Bardwell is my go-to for bank fishing. Mott Park down by the boat ramp has a good point and a cove. I have definitely caught some decent eaters from there. Highview was my go-to but since the marina closed it isn't great. Mustang is really shallow, but decent for channel cat.

Headed out Saturday to do this. Unfortunately the eclipse chasers have packed all the parks. We are definitely gonna check out Waxahachie Creek park but some other time. Thanks for the replies

I used to fish there a lot before buying a place at Cedar Creek a few years ago. Some good fish there. High view park and the old marina offered good fishing on both sides. Mott was ok also. I had the best luck from the bank around Mustang boat ramp. Can walk bank, get on the point, or play the wind. Incoming wind blowing bait to you is good, makes it a little harder to cast into it, but you can figure it out. I have also walked down by bridge.
Good luck.
