im liking this tm with the birds. do i, can i, use a si on the console linked with a di on the bow and the tm follow the contour from the bow unit? no si puck in the tm.

You can share SI to a DI unit via Ethernet if the units are the same model and their software's are the same or close to the same version---Helix or SOLIX or APEX.
Follow-The-Contor has nothing to do with sonar, it is a GPS/Mapping function and any/all units networked with the trolling motor will do that function. It requires HD mapping, by Lakemaster, Auto Chart, or Auto Chart Live.
If the units are Helix or SOLIX you will need an Ethernet Switch to network two displays and Minnkota Advanced GPS--AS ETH 5PGL.
