Took my wife on her first ever fishing trip to a new water body that I have only fished once before. We started out fishing for carp. After a quick lesson on how to bait a hook using corn, make a cast, watching her line for a bite along with feeling a bite, setting a hook, and then reeling in a fighting fish, the learning process began. After about a 10 minute wait she got her first run and bite. She did not get a hook set. After the fifth run she hooked up but lost this fish during the fight. The fish was a nice carp. She then got another run and she was able to set the hook and was able to catch her first fish. A River Carp Sucker Fish. Since there was not a record ever posted for that species of fish for the water body we were fishing, she will send in paper paper work for a water body record. The length of the fish was 11.50" and the weight was .68 pounds. The fish was released. After catching plenty of Common Carp and River Carp Sucker fish, I then showed her how to fish for sunfish, using the "Bait of Champions, WORMS. We fished by a dock and several other structures in the large pond. We caught over 30 Rios, and several bass. Caught one Longear Sunfish, but saw several other suspended Bluegill. I was able to catch a nice Rio that was 10.45" in length with a weight of .90 pounds. I also caught a nice Large Mouth Bass that was 21" in length which my wife was able to net it like a pro. The hook fell out of the fish right after she netted it. We did not weigh the bass because my scale was a long way from my car and I did not want to take a chance of killing such a nice fish. Guessing the weight of the fish about 5 or 6 pounds. Record Applications for the Rio (weight and C&R) and the Catch & Release Record for the Large Mouth Bass will be submitted to the Texas Parks & Wildlife for their review. After a nice long day of fishing we called it a day. Needless to say, my wife will be fishing with me a lot. Sharing the outdoors with my wife. It just don't get any better!

What if you and your wife come to the house and I can show her how to fish with JIGLYF jigs and you never have to worry about baiting her hook. She can just re-tie another jig if she looses one.🤔🙂
