Dog just treed one in the living room. After smushing it I inspected the stinger good and proper.

I would like to know why their stings hurt so much more than any other stinging critter.

I was stung one time. More than once. But this one time I felt a stinging on the top of my foot. I looked down and that b had a hold of my skin with both of its pinchers and that tail was bent over double giving it to me. I think that scared me more than the sting hurt. I was probably around six or so, but I still remember it, and I'm 66.

They do hurt. We had them bad at our place in Rayburn country when we first bought it. Wife and I both got stung.

I had one in my shoe that stung me on the little toe then stung me on the big toe before I could untie the shoe and kick off. Hurt for 8 hours and gave me a numb feeling on my tongue. Years later I stepped on one and it stung the arch of my foot. Crazy thing was pain was minimal and only lasted 15 minutes

They hurt like H..l but it doesnt seem to last as long as a red ant or wasp sting. We have them show up in the bathtub or even drop from the ceiling at certain times of the year!

Just killed one while sittin on the toilet the other day. They're out and about again.

Years ago was picking up rocks at our place in San Antonio and was stung by 2 scorpions on my hand. Ran around hollering profane words and then sat down figuring I was going to die very soon.

Father, the doctor, walks over and tells me to get a beer and get back to work. Sympathy was not part of him.

Bit on the rear a couple of times in my youth while fishing the rocks at the Lake Worth dam by lantern light. Good times!

A number of years ago, was stung three times upper/mid thigh before I could get out of my chair. Metallic taste in mouth for about 6 months afterwards. I use products from do my own pest control and have fixed that problem. Now, when I see a scorpion outside or, in the house, they are doing the one legged circle of death--heeheehee

No matter how many times we call the exterminator out here scorpions are just a fact of life here. I step cautiousKY down the hallway in the dark.....

I've never seen one here but used to live roughly 5-6 miles from here growing up and we had them in the house all the time. Never been stung by one.

I've been stung by an asp though ... worst pain ever.

I e been stung several times by these little brown scorpions we have out here. It burns like heck for about. Minute then goes away. Doesn’t even leave a whelp. Wasp stings are a lot worse to me.

We lived in El Salvador back in the sixties. The house had a porous lava rock wall in the front hall. We never saw scorpions during the day, but at night if you hit that wall with a UV light it'd be alive with them. None of us ever got stung, but that hallway wall always got a wide berth at night.

Exactly! We see them in the house, no matter how many times we spray, have Orkin come out, etc. Our youngest is scared of anything that crawls. I tell her to suck it up, or move. AHAHHAHA

I've been stung more times than I can count, so much so that I have built up kinda of an immunity/tolerance to the venom. My baby sister use to catch them and put them in our shoes. Glue boards are your friend when it comes to controlling them.

I’ll take a scorpion over a wasp any day,
To get rid of them, pick up demon wp at tsc.
Double up a one gallon sprayer spray all around outside of house, weep holes, brush etc.
Do not spray inside.

I have been stung a few times, Felt like a lit cigarette been stuck to you. Put some pants on once had a scorpion in the right side leg it got me 4-5 times.

When I was about 10 I got into a sleeping bag with a scorpion. It stung me 2 or 3 times on the stomach. I thought a pen or something was sticking me, hurt like a mofo.

this happened to my brother. Got him right on the tip........ he went running through the house holding himself buck naked screaming like a banshee.


I told everyone in school the next day. His nickname was scorp d!ck till he graduated.

A friend gave me a big cabin tent that we used at a deer lease. I woke up one night and had one just inches from my face. I have never been stung by one. We pulled up old cedar stumps to burn and there was always at least 3 or 4.

In 24 years I have only seen one in Rockwall County but we have plenty of black widows.

Why not spray inside if it’s cruddy floors?

I might have taken the scorpion over the hundreds of fire ants in my underwear. I got up when morning quick shower and grabbed a pair of underwear off the floor next to the bed. Jumped in the truck and off to work. I made it from Roanoke to Southlake before I had to pull over. Jumped out of my truck and stripped down on the shoulder of 114. Good thing it was still dark.
