Caught my first buffalo - used a homemade pack bait of sweet feed and hominy. After this experience, this should be the favorite fish of Tx anglers (even though I caught this one in Oklahoma!)

Nice catch. Buffalo are readily available in most reservoirs, but are often overlooked. Fish around 15 pounds are common and there are much bigger ones out there.

Most of the normies don't even know they exist! Even some who have fished a bit.

Good looking Buff! The first time I caught one on rod and reel, I was out catfishing, and it ended up being the only fish I caught that afternoon. I had such a blast fighting it though that I didn't mind too much that I didn't catch anything else.

I was so stoked, I gave it a kiss and sent it on it's way! We caught 3 total on that trip along with a mess of carp.

Got out today for a few hours. Caught 4 buffalo (nothing like those giants @Brine) and a mess of carp.

Beautiful day in N. Texas and extreme N. Texas, I mean Southern Oklahoma (Tom Steed)

Thanks sb - The size of the catch is all relative to the body of water you're on and the location you're fishing on it. Those fish were caught over a period of a week on the same spot that was heavily baited each day.
