When I was working and commuting I always hated seeing the alerts on the highway signs. I wanted to see traffic alerts during rush hours not other alerts. Do they really expect people to remember the license plate numbers on those alerts? I have all alerts muted on my phone.

I feel like a [censored] parent, but I muted the alerts on all our phones. I told the wife that I suspect a missing kid in Houston is not like to show up in our neck of the woods.

It seems many are lower intelligence and income. That segment of society is always into something that is against the law or morally askew.

They are BS for the most part but if you saw the one from us yesterday it was legitimate. Child had been adopted and family allowed paternal grandpa to attend birthday. Grandpa who is a felon with active Blue Warrant stole the child and hauled him off to Dallas. Child recovered in Dallas and grandpa safely in the slam.

I was working in the area she was found in. I saw a white old truck driving on a residential street and it didn't look quite right. It was on a dead end street and it drove up and down before leaving.
I wrote down the partial license plate and called it in but never heard back on it. I guess they checked it out and it was nothing.

I noticed you get a lot around holidays. Its like "Dad's weekend" to have the kid and he is supposed to bring them back on Monday but does not show up... its not like the kid is in danger, its a family court issue... but I have to be woken up at 3am!?

These Alerts should really just be issued if there is a reason to believe the child is in danger. Not because a non custodial parent is late by a day or two in dropping off their own kid bcs he feels like, "F Brittney, she got to have little Johnny for spring break and Forth of July, I am taking him to my Moms for the whole week of Thanksgiving and she can kiss my [censored] if she dont like it..."

I am a Judge and fake Cop so I know these things.

I like the “silver alerts” on road signs as I will know I’m missing if I show up on there.

My wife got one yesterday and the name of the kid on the alert was Legend. Legend ? Really? Who the **** names their child Legend?
