Grapevine 4/14/24

I fished grapevine today 8a-2p. Early, I Missed a dink and ~2lber on my ultralight bfs stick. Not enough backbone, drag to loose and I forgot to set the hook like a maniac. Caught a nice bluegill . Around 10 I stuck a 3.75 again on the light gear using 6 lb Tatsu. She looked like a spawned out female and weighed 3.75. A fun fight. Caught a keeper crappie trolling back to the ramp on a finesse spinner bait. They only wanted white moving baits with some flash today in shallow water. I spooked a few in 6” of water. I threw white whacky senko, TR craw. Nada. Water was stained to slightly muddy. Didn’t see any sandies schooling but don’t have a graph on the new kayak yet to find shad.
