I had been low carbing for almost 3 months, I would stab someone in the eye for a good chicken fried steak about now.

The cfs itself is not horrible. You get some carbs from the breading, but it is less than you realize. The problems come from the salad, the mashed taters, cream gravy, sweet corn, and biscuits+honey+sorghum.

If you can limit yourself to the steak without gravy and green beans, then you can accomplish Babe's on keto.

That's like going to the strip club with 20 bucks. Why even bother.

That damn glitter should be against the law. You have to keep a strip club shirt that you change out of and throw away before going home. The cheap smelling body spray is also an issue..

Glitter will also stick to body parts and go unnoticed till ya get home

Babes must be a Ft. Worth, Dallas thing. We aint got none in Houston.

Not a lot of Fried Chicken/Chicken Fried steak places in Houston compaired to Dallas, Tulsa etc. But we have Mexican food on every corner.

Stop on the way home and pick up a nice card for your wife that has glitter on it.
When she finds glitter on you, it came from the loving card you bought her.

She would know something was up if I tried this. I would have better luck telling her we went there for lunch but I didn't look at the girls.

we went there when it was the only one. good chicken, but certainly not worth the hour and a half wait.

I've been there a few times. Everyone stops after the first round of chicken and sides. What is proper AYCE manners at Babe's? Is it really AYCE fried chicken? I'd tear that up.

The one in Sanger is top notch. I think it's all you can eat sides only.

Sides... Yeah, that makes more sense. Only so much corn and taters that you can eat. Worst part of Babe's is the 7th degree burns you get in your mouth from trying to eat the chicken when it's fresh out the grease.

Seems like they are frying baby chickens now. the chicken was the size of KFC monday night in arlington.

When we moved here, Babe’s had a big sign in Roanoke that said ‘You can’t spend more than six bucks.’

We ate there a lot because there were only three places around. Babe’s, Roadrunner, and Tater Junction.

That sign is now gone.

Agreed. Went there for the first time like 10 years ago and it was awesome. Went there two years ago and was not impressed.

I'd rather eat at Golden Corral,...chicken and veggies are better.
