Golf Course Recommendations Fort Worth - 04/22/24 02:47 PM

Looking to play tomorrow in FW or Arlington area. Anyone have recommendations for a nice course to play?
No goat ranches please, looking for nice courses only.
Thanks.

Tierra Verde Golf Club in Arlington is a nice muni. I've played it several times.

Bear Creek or Grapevine are both nice.
Fossil Creek is very nice.

I heard butch has converted some old fracking holes to a 29 hole course, better have 29 balls tho as I heard the retrieval is next to impossible once you hole a ball.

We’ve got a nice little course south of Fort Worth call Hidden Creek GC. Other than that there’s Chester Ditto in the Agg but I think it’s the Texas Rangers GC now.

Fossil Creek
Texas Rangers in Arlington
Tour 18 Flowermound if youve never done that before

Cowboys course is very nice, they've got more maintenance folks out there than golfers at any one time. But, its usually spendy and I didnt love the plane traffic.

Tierra is nice. Played about 10 years ago. Unfortunately, no tee time early enough for us. Thanks for the recommendations so far guys and keep them coming.
cheers

Bear creek is constant plane traffic, kind of annoying actually. 2 18s that are ok, not special.

What a beating... just go to Topgolf!

You really want to go hike around and chase a ball? Or do you want to hit some balls and drink?

Although first out would be Tierra Verde, a course I really liked the one time I went was Prairie Lakes. May or may not suit your tastes.

Thanks David, I did consider playing there, but got info that they are suffering with some poor playing conditions right now. Lost their fairways mostly is what I was told. Will check it out once they come back.

No, it's just a sleeper of a course and it's really priced right.

Just a heads up to any who might golf Ft. Worth, the Meadowbrook GC is closed until 2025 for remodeling. Drove by there earlier today and the entire course is ripped out, bare dirt.

After the renovation several years ago, this is a great course, especially for a muni. Tour 18 is fun and expensive. Cowboys Club is a good experience and challenging. I played the Rangers golf course when it opened but haven’t been back since they finished the clubhouse and everything else. I liked that course a lot.

I played Tour 18 in Houston 4 or 5 times before the lawsuit made them change the designs of some of the holes so they were not exact copies of the originals. Amen Corner was always fun.

Decent track.... cut out of the river bottom.... couple of quirky holes.... all in all, not bad.
