Interesting...I haven't had store bought in years. Usually pick ours up from the farmer's market.

I buy a jar of Pace every once in a while. About all I ate until I discovered Julios, Texas Texas and El Yucateco. Pretty good on eggs.

I stumbled on this one out here at Brookshire's... it is more expensive ($7.50) but if I want a red salsa this is it for me... the onion and garlic flavors are balanced..

I’ll allow it; but only for guests north of the Mason Dixon.

I have tried a lot of off the shelf salsa. Mateo is the only one I really like. I prefer just to make my own. It is easy and better then any off the shelf stuff.

It's good.

Great chips and salsa can’t be found outside of Texas/New Mexico/Arizona.
We must protect this house.

Not sure about salsa but HEB has by far the best chips. I was in the HEB in Lampasas a while back and saw a dude with a bag of Tostitos and thought WTF. Maybe he prefers a thicker chip or has never tried the made in store chips.

I like the Hell On The Red but it is just not hot enough for me, I buy a jar of the fine diced jalopenos and add some to it, makes it really good, but I do make my own, it is very similar to H O T R.

We will never in my life get a HEB in Denton , They have owned land on West University for a long time , across the street from Sam's , Walmart , Albertson's and Aldi ,
They are saying Denton has to grow , heck we don't even have a grocery store in Sanger at all .No big deal , i live just as close to Pilot Point.
On The Border thin chips are good , in stores
