Montis James, a 63-year-old entrepreneur known for selling barbeque in Deep Ellum, was pulling out of the parking lot of Charlie’s Star Lounge near midnight on Saturday, March 23. He had just wrapped up a stint hawking his wares to friends and frequent patrons and was making a quick delivery. Unbeknownst to him, a drunk man had latched on to the back of his truck.

That sucks. They ought to give him his stuff back and give him whatever tickets or charges there are for the license and registration so he can move on.

I think a good attorney is called for. The charge was inappropriate and a law suit against the city might prevail.
I'm sure he's heard from a few.

Dallas, a bigger joke than ever.

That's a terribly written article, but these charges seems excessive.

Something is not right with this story. I'm betting there are some missing parts that are not being reported.

Charged with collision involving injury.... drunk was hanging on back of truck and fell off.

Since when does the vehicle/person being rear ended get the ticket?

Dallas is a cesspool!!!

Why do the cops insist on making themselves so hard to like when we all really want to have their backs?

It's the power trip a lot of them are on. They ruin the relationship for many others.
