Grapevine Boat Slip cost

Grapevine Boat Slip cost - 01/01/24 01:11 AM

Hey y'all

Can anybody tell me the going rates for a covered slip on Grapevine? With a lift?

I'm torn between moving my boat off Lewisville or selling it. I really just dislike Lewisville that much. Lol

TIA

If you are looking to get away from the Ski Boat crowds then Gvine is not the answer...

If you love Wake boats, you will love Grapevine. Its like the Lew but smaller and harder shorelines for the ultimate in wake creating experiences!

All the money they are spending on remodels On the Docks would bet they are out of control.

I honestly would be afraid to hear the slip rates out there now days. They don't lists the rates online and that is never good.

$424 a month for my slip at silver lake marina. No lift. And not one of the nice slips either.

I'll put these here as I gather the info.

Twin Coves
Start at $405 / month for a covered slip.
Hoist start at $200 / month
No dock box rental available
10% discount if you pay the year in advance.

Silverlake
28'x10' Covered is $687 / month
That includes a hoist.
They didn't have a 24' x 10' available.

Are they dock/slip fishing friendly on Grapevine? I got so p****d off at Pier 121 on Lewisville a couple years ago that I have not fished or put my boat in that lake since.

They are not at Scott’s and silver lake I know for a fact. I let both of my slips go at those several years ago after being wrongfully accused of stealing. I’m not sure about twin coves but I know most marinas are becoming not fishermen friendly

Yep most of the marinas are catering to pleasure boaters not fisherman. They seem to be willing to pay the price to rent a slip.

Twin Coves and SilverLake are managed by the same company and I found their pricing to basically be the same for both marinas. I had a slip at Twin Coves for several years and then moved to SilverLake recently. (closer to my home) I have found both marinas to be fishing friendly. I've run into several people at both marinas who don't have boats and are just there to fish. I see them there often enough to think the mgmt doesn't have an issue with it. Fishing wise, Twin Coves was much better than Silver Lake.....way more brushed out slips.(including mine!) Speaking of which, I got yelled out by the marina manager at Twin Coves one day when she caught me dragging a Christmas tree down the dock. They definitely don't want to see you do that. Drag your trees to the bank (out of site of the office) and pick them up with your boat. They move sections of the slips often so you will lose your hard work occasionally. Marina wise, I enjoyed Twin Coves the most. A slow day of fishing and Rockin S bar/restaurant was just a short walk away!

Thank you. I'm learning towards Twin Coves.
