Bluegill for the most part spawn three times a year. spring, mid summer, and early fall. Depending on the water body the Bluegill can spawn anytime between spring and fall. Right now the Bluegill are spawning in a lot of water bodies. I personally have seen a lot of Bluegill nest.

I haven't seen any spawning yet but the sunfish are becoming very active and moving shallow in the ponds and small lakes. I've been catching a lot of quality fish over the last 10 days.

Spawn is on at some of the ponds I have been fishing. As for creeks and rivers the Bluegill are showing off their colors.
