Texas ranked 10th least educated state in the US: WalletHub study
The Lone Star State was also found to have one of the least percentages of high-school diploma holders.

My experience is that a lot of higher IQ persons have very little common sense. They can be very dysfunctional on normal situations. A lot of them have very strange personalities which makes it hard for them socially.

I would put little stock in the IQ map. No shortage of dumb people in any state these days.

IQ measure typically includes the effects of education. IQ tends to increase with age with 35 to 45 the peak age range. So someone in a rural area doing farming for example might not score as well on a IQ test. Put the high IQ person in the farming job and we might all starve to death. Put them both on a deserted island with zero food and the farmer would have the high IQ guy in a pot and cooked before he knew what happened.

A lot of people think they are higher IQ than they are. Other people are a better measure of a person’s intelligence.

104 isn’t a high IQ. I took a IQ test years ago in High School. If I remember correctly it was the WAIS test. Scored 124 on it. Those tests really don’t truly accurately measure IQ one way or another.

IQ scores of famous people: Thomas Edison 100, Muhammad Ali 78, Ted Kacznyski 167, Jeffrey Dalhmer 144, Ronald Reagan 104. They claim 114 for Joe Biden yet he graduated 75 out of 86 at Syracuse College of Law.

Glad there are smart doctors, scientist and engineers. Admittedly, some smart people do not have an aptitude for some every day things but some do. No dummies are good at the things that require a high degree of intelligence.

Can you post a link to your evidence? I have not been able to find it.
