That's what I've been using is Trilene 100%, I hate it, not abrasion resistant at all. I lost a big one today because of it. I'm fishing salt cedars and rocks. I doubt any flurocarbon will hold up. This fish didn't wrap me, it was a straight pull break. I'm sure I probably had a nick in the line. But I check and retie very often.

Fluoro requires too much baby sitting for my preference.
Knot retying, checking for frayed line, line conditioner, pre stretching it, eliminating sun/uv exposure, keeping it at seventy degrees as much as possible, etc, etc.

With that said, I do like how it feels in the water with weightless and light lure presentations.
There are two or three on this test I wouldn’t mind trying.

It is as strong or stronger than any Mono or Fluro and has less memory than either.

Of course its stronger, it's because their diameter is larger then the others. If it was rated by line diameters it would be average at best

McCoys 15 lb is at .015 dia. Most of the Flurocarbon lines I have used at 15 lb are at .013 dia. I guess I just didn't see any benefit for using that small amount of difference in the line especially with the amount of memory in them. No way I can determine if there has been any amount of bites that I might have gotten but I also can count on one hand the number of fish that have broke me off on McCoys and two of the fish were on Tawakoni after hitting a Chatterbait and taking me around rusted dock poles and sawing the line off on them. I also like the pricing of about $24.99 for a 900 yard spool.

Not at all saying its bad line, its not at all. Just cracked me up how people claim how strong it is and this comes back to diameter. When someone says X pound line is stronger yet its line diameter is bigger than the brands their comparing to. That 15# p-line is thicker than Sunline Sniper's 20#

Good points here. A friend of mine talked me into trying P-line CXX due to its castability & limpness. It is strong but It also stretches like a rubber band. The properties of the raw materials used to make it limp also make it stretchy. That sketchiness equates to lack of feel on bottom contact baits.

The 20# CXX is larger diameter than 25# Seaguar Invisx. It should be strong.

Braid to CXX is on 90% of my set ups. The braid allows for better sensitivity, averages out the stretchiness (enables a good hookset from awkward positions, and the CXX leader provides abrasion resistance and some stretchiness/forgiveness close to the boat....and also some stretchiness for treble hooked lures so as not to rip the hooks out with straight braid.

I have only used the 20 lb Gouken line but it is damn good line. If I hadn't already bought so many bulk spools of other line, I would not hesitate to stock up on that Spro line.

It compares to Shooter IMO. Very similar.

I choose the line for a certain technique by the diameter of the line not the # test rating that is listed on the spool or the box. I think the # test rating is bogus. Check out the line break tests that are out there and you will see very few if any break at what is listed as its strength.

McCoys Mean green and P Line are better than Big Game even in the same diameter. Big Game is good line if you like monofilament line.

Salt Strong did a comparison and convinced me that I sure have wasted a lot of money and lost fish on flourocarbon. No wonder the fish are able to outsmart fishermen.
