Took the kayaks out with Jamie this morning as I wanted to show him the lake. Very quiet morning with just a couple of bass between us. The water was cold which is very unusual so i guess the fish didnt like the cold

I wouldn't think that Fayette would be that cold this early, hasn't been THAT could this start of the holiday season. I lost the biggest bass of my life (double digits) ripping there one Super Bowl big game Sunday morning. May need to start heading to Bastrop.

Great Fishing with you as always Mike
The good thing is a got a close-up look at the lake for the first time. I found areas with gravel bottoms and silty flats. The good gravel bottom areas should be great for Bass and Bluegill spawning in the Spring.
We talked to 5 or 6 anglers and nobody had been catching anything the last couple of days.
