Not looking for GPS coordinates, but is there anywhere relatively close to Kerrville that has a good crappie population init?

yes, the portion of the river that is dammed up into a lake. i cant remember what its refereed to, but its on the lower end of the river. if you put in at the ramp and go straight across to the other bank, its steeper and has tons of submerged brush and cypress roots in the water. there is a fishing dock on the same side that is brushed out. I've caught decent ones there on jigs. You should be able to find crappie up and down the river, but i would only fish the dammed up portions.

The Pedernales has some crappie...Centerpoint Road off 16 has a couple good access points and some deep water nearby. Used to catch some slabs on drop lines with goggle eyes and bluegill while targeting catfish.
