Jimmy. Just as nice in person as he comes across on the screen. Would like to meet him. I like Edwin Evers as well. Follow him on Facebook and he seems to be in a very good place family wise.

Lots of good guys in pro Bass Fishing. Aaron Marten’s was a great guy. I rode with him a couple of times. Good family guy. Super nice to ride with, Shared info on a bunch of subjects. If you didn’t know it you would never know that he was a superstar.

Do you remember the show back in the 70's & 80's "Wallace Wildlife"? He didn't pretend to be a great fisherman, but his shows were always entertaining. His shows were concentrated in Northern Texas & Southern Oklahoma. Texoma seemed to be his favorite. The show ran for several years. It & Freddy Grant were my favorites.

I agree on Jimmy Houston. Met him two times, once at a Tackle Show where I bought my Castaway Carolina rig rod. He autographed the tag on it and seemed genuinely friendly. Then several years ago, he came to this church in Garland on a Saturday to give a talk on duck hunting to a group of young boys. I took my Grandson and it was great to talk with Jimmy personally. He incorporated his Faith in his talk and he definitely kept the attention of the audience.

Anyone know the status of Chris Houston after her stroke? Watching him talk about it was one of the most heartbreaking videos I’ve ever seen. I haven’t looked deeper into how she is doing, but I hope she is well. She is doing better, and was actually able to walk short distances around Christmas. But at new years she had a set back with a blood clot. I know some of yall are not on the book of Faces, but I check his page almost every day to see the updates, and just to listen to him. The love and passion that he expresses towards her in his messages and talk is overwhelming. It hard to explain, but make me want to be a better man and more like him.

Best? Who knows...but I did watch "Jimmy Houston Outdoors" a lot when I was young. I don't remember the others.

When I was probably 12-13 years old, I was going to get to see Jimmy Houston at the Sportster in Tyler but I got sick and couldn’t go. My Dad went and got an autographed hat for me, Once I got over the flu, the very first thing I did was go set off some fireworks with a friend in his back yard. We set a tree on fire. While we were trying to put it out, the autograph on my hat got smeared, I have always wanted to go see him and get a new one.

Jimmy is hard to beat among the legends. Some newer ones coming up are great guys as well, but Jimmy has always been super nice to me through the years.
