What’s the reason you don’t want one piece? That might help the suggestions.

It depends on what you’re fishing for. I finessed fish a lot and I LOVE the microlite rods from bass pro, I use the 7.5” ultralight but they make some longer medium action ones and some little bit heavier action one. I regularly land striper, walleye, black bass, sandbass, and crappie. We’re not talking small bass, striper, and walleye either. Striper pushing 10 lbs in roaring currents, but you have to fish light line where I go to catch my fish. Have used these rods for many years on all my sandbass trips, crappie trips, walleye trips, striper and hybrids in rivers and streams, and black bass (including some large, angry river smallmouth). I don’t baby my gear, I sling 1-2 lb fish up on the bank and I’ll have the rod completely doubled over. Been using them for about 10 years now with thousands of fish landed on one single rod each season. I think I’ve broken a grand total of 2 rods while fishing, and 2 more because a rod was stepped on or because slammed in a car door or tailgate. I can’t complain too much. I bet I’ve landed 10000 fish on the ultralight rod I currently have. 2 rods in 10 years ain’t bad.

I find most two piece rods to be stouter than one piece rods.I use Ugly Stik Elites and Fenwick Eagles.........all 2 piece, nary a complaint one.I prefer the Fenwick's for their sensitivity but the Ugly Stik's do have a better price point..............both are worth every penny.

One of these days. Someone is going ask about telescopic rods. I've been eyeballing one. It would seem like a gimmick with all the sections. Figuring a section would brake but I've seen videos of a couple Daiwa products and they're putting it to the test by pulling up and lifting dead weights. With the pole doing a serious bend.
These weren't short rods either. 11 foot, 13 foot.... Telescopic down to 3feet folded up.
Someone here has to have one. If so, chime in.

I use to buy two piece rods to take to Canada every year. I bought 4 rods. They were the Bass Pro brand. (One of the brands). They’d work ok. I’d usually have three handle ends and one tip end left that wasn’t broken after a week. Haha. 50” pike at the side of the boat and they’d snap. They were cheaper than packing a 7’ rod.
