What is your favorite choice for a chatter bait rod and what gear ratio reel do you like best?

Megabass Levante Diablo Spec R with 7.1 Daiwa Tatula Elite Long Cast.

Falcon Lowrider Swim jig with 6:3-6:8 gear ratio reel.

I have a custom rod that was built for spinner baits that I use for Chatterbaits. Has a great tip w/ parabolic bend to support it.

A moderate fast rod in MH.

Reel I use a 6:4 in the cooler months and up to an 8:1 in the warmer months and in shallower water.

I like the Daiwa Tatula Elite TAEL741MHRB-G & the Daiwa DX Type-H, both with the Daiwa Tatula SV TWS in 7.3:1.

I also have the Randy Howell Daiwa Tatula Elite TAEL741MHRB but did not like it for a bladed jig, at all. Too much tip & I didn't feel that I could pop the bladed jig by snapping the tip. Fantastic Spook rod though! Probably my favorite rod for walking topwaters

I have two setups for chatterbaits, a first generation Megabass Orochi XX Diablo Spec R and a GLoomis IMX-Pro 883 BJR. Both paired with a Curado 150 MGL in 7.4:1. This may be on the case where i give the edge to Megabass over the Loomis.

I love that rod, use it for chatter, swim baits, wake baits and big crank baits .
