It seems to me that every level of bass tournaments are getting more competitive. I started fishing tournaments in the late 80's and it was easier to tell the men from the boys. Today, comparing beginner versus seasoned anglers, the playing field seems more even across the board. I know that maps, electronics, google earth and YouTube have helped me learn more about lakes and bass as well over the years. Looks like the younger crowd has an advantage starting out......what are your thoughts ???

No doubt these kids coming up through the high school and college leagues are already seasoned.
There kickin azz and taking names. Not to mention the ease at which they take to these new electronics.

There's a massive difference between now and 15 years ago, theres way more people that actually KNOW what they are doing when it comes to bass fishing.

The level of fishing expertise in the younger generation is amazing. I follow some young guys who did HS, then College Fishing and they are serious sticks.

I know that with all the new technology, especially FFS, some of my older Fishing peers are not crazy about it. I honestly think it will keep younger people on the water because they can relate to the technology. So I personally advocate for the change and hope some people will change their mindset,

I haven’t noticed a big change.
