I live in Seadrift. Give me a holler before you head down, should be able to help.

Do you have a flats rig? It’s going to be tricky if you don’t.

Redfish are stupid easy right now, trout are sketchy, you gotta work for them.

Ok good.
The back lakes should be rolling by then, but you’re not getting in with a tuna schooner

I am heading down tomorrow through Tuesday
My boat, an 18ft Gulf Coast can run through a foot of water, I can't stop.. and a lot of the back lake stuff where you want to fish is 1 - 1.5 ft of water.. I can't get into it and the bottom can be so soft it makes wading a bitch.
I am taking two kayaks that are setup with lightweight trolling motors on the back so I can get deep looking for feeding reds..

sure, we keep our boat in Seadrift and fish either there or Port O'Conner.
Had good luck fishing out of Seadrift in Hynes bay, fishing the shoreline across from Austwell, protected from north winds. Fishing the outlets of the marsh can be really good for reds.

Wednesday the 8th

Intervals of clouds and sunshine. High 82F. Winds S at 10 to 20 mph.

How is this situation going to fair for a dock on the east side of bay just south of
Bay flates lodge?

So close to vacation can smell the salt in air already.

So Shane,
Are there any redfish in Seadrift?
That was fun. First time hooking decent reds is a life changing experience.
