Went out this afternoon, I think March was my last trip over there. Holy [censored] the (Grass) has taken off! If TPWD leaves the north end alone, that lake will be a top 5 lake in 2 yrs. The lake looks amazing, grass out to crk channel swings, water clarity etc. Haven't seen it look so good since 2008!

The north end had grass. I saw air boat last week out of Scott’s last Thursday.

Did you do your duty and pull his drain plug?

They got smart this year and started to weld them in.

TPWD knows the grass is there. They have been spraying it. Supposedly what they are using won’t go after the eel grass and others. So far it seems to be at least ok. Of course hydrilla is the favorite grass of bass.

It is what it is. If they weren’t doing it the homeowners would. It’s the offseason for most of the lake and all we can do is hope it grows well and moves into new places.

You would think that after the years of bashing the TPWD for spraying Conroe in the past, that they would compromise and not spray above 1097. Just seems reasonable to me, but I am not a member of FOLC.

I fished Conroe back in the 1980's and it was awesome fishing the hydrilla beds! In the 1990's we fished a tournament there and not a bit of grass anywhere....grass carp ate it all.
