Texoma water temps 52-54 still 3’ low. It’s really remained up and down. Some days easy some a real grind! My opinion it’s all the weather it will get really cold it’ll get hot we have insects hatching algae blooms starting to form like it’s March and then of a sudden it’ll get cold again back-and-forth back-and-forth been using softbaits on 3/4oz jigheads. Really enjoying these https://knockintaillures.com/ If you order some please mention Capt Chris Striper express thank you

Wow those are beauties!

I've been out only few times this Fall and short trips and it's been slow for me. Found mostly dinks under birds. Was out solo last Sunday 2pm to 5, and very bad day. I thought this would never happen to me but wrong, I was on plane and hit shallow. The barely submerge islands due north of Highport got me at 5pm. I tried for 30 mins with motor and off in the water but the wind won and feet got too cold. So called TowBoatUS. $620 later I got towed in to trailer safe and sound. Lesson learned. Nature won.

Few hybrid lakes upstream that drains into the red River.

Should have used some of that left over dynamite floating in the water to help you get unstuck.

I have been going to north end of the lake and we are doing great. Almost all deadsticking, or casting sassy shad under the birds.

There are sandbass and there are striper in texoma. They both go up the same rivers to spawn in spring and they’re both broadcast spawners. I catch crosses of sandbass and yellow bass from time to time, I catch hybrid crappie from time to time, there are even reports of striper crossed with yellow bass on tawakoni. I’d go out on a limb and say they’re a natural product of cross spawning.

I caught two hybrids about 9 lbs each on back to back casts on Texoma many years ago. They still had skid marks like they had slid down a spillway..
There are lots of lakes in the Texoma watershed that have hybrids stocked.

There may be a few natural hybrids in the lake , but I would wager most come from stocked lakes upstream.

good luck

Definitely imo from upstream they spawn in different water temperatures is why there never is a natural cross here on white x stripe
I’m sure it may have happened somewhere but I’m almost 30 years of guiding here and I believe they all come from upstream or else we would just see lots more of them.
