Lake Fork Fishing Report December, 23, 2023 Christmas came early, What a day!! If you are not fishing because you think the fishing is slow..you’re missing out. The bass are grouped up gorging on shad in 18-22’ of water. Look for ledges off of points and underwater structure like culverts and bridges. Don’t go back into the backs of coves stay out in the main creeks. Find the huge schools of shad and you’ll find the bass. Finess creatures baits in black and blue and paddle tail minnows in blue perl like: https://www.tacklecoop.com/product/4-swimbait-with-hook-slot-multiple-colors/ Did the trick. The fish are finicky use small baits and go slow. Grumpy old vet caught 6 and I caught 12, most were over 2lbs..see the video for the biggest. All in all a great day of catching. We caught about 18lbs out of one spot in Little Caney and about 20lbs out of a second spot... Crazy good day Hope this helps if you’re fishing this Christmas. Here is where I caught the big one:

Thanks for sharing.
Most of the shallow areas I was scanning and fishing we were just not seeing any fish or getting bites. I did get a couple as they were on ramps and such but I hadn't seen them stacked up like since the summer. The rain really turned the bite off the next day though. What part of the lake are you fishing? Were you fishing grass?
