I am member of a small bass club in San Antonio. We have a tournament on Lake Conroe in April. There will be no more than six boats. Coming from San Antonio which would be the best ramp for us to use. Thank you ahead of time. Lightnin.

You don't have very many choices anymore, but Stow-A-Way and April's Plaza are good.

April Plaza will put you at least 30 minutes closer to San Antonio. Might be something to consider.

Stow-A-Way has nice enough facilities. I would say it’s on the “middle” third of the lake, on the east side. Plenty of water to fish without ever really cranking up the big motor.

They added a raised median on 105 from FM 2854 in Montgomery to I45 in Conroe. It’s a little bit of a hassle to turn into April Plaza when traveling east on 105. You have to go just past it, then use the turning lane to do a U-turn an go back west and turn right into the parking lot.

Fishing should be good in April. Best of luck and safe travels
