I don't understand why they have to post what lake the fish was caught at anyway. Seems like just saying something like, "this fish was caught at an East Texas lake" would be good enough. Maybe I'm missing something, but this detail doesn't seem important (except to the Sharelunker groupies that immediately flock to the lakes mentioned). It would probably even encourage more giant fish to be turned in that normally wouldn't be due to not wanting to ruin a good lake.
I don't see why people rush to fish a lake that just produced a share a lunker, it's not like everyone is going to go and catch a 10 plus fish, seem ridiculous.

You’re on to something. Supposedly you can request the lake be kept confidential and then TPWD releases the name anyways. So it’s easy, don’t participate if you care about a small lake.
Everything I have seen on Millikens SAL a couple weeks ago says location not listed.
It shows the lake on the Sharelunker website...
Anything under 13 being reported is kinda lame. I had two of those Bass Pro Shops fish Sunday and I didn’t even win second place big bass. Took over 10 to win big bass.

Do they get t shirts or something?
Lol. Yeah I thought it was only for DD's. Wonder if they changed it. Didn't they use to give you a replica of the fish? Attached is the "recognition" that you get for turning a fish in.
