Due to my health and my wife's its time to get out of the fishing business. It's been fun learning and helping others to become better crappie fishermen and women.

I can't leave my wife home alone and she can't manage the dock or boat anymore.
I also can't manage without some help.

I will still post and help if anyone has questions .

My boat is SOLD

I will also be having a big tackle sale soon.

Wishing you all the best. I watched my Dad and Mom who both loved to fish go through the exact same thing.

Will be praying for you and your wife Sir. Been following your post a long time and have enjoyed them. One thing you and your wife will have is a lot of "Lifetime Memories"! The Lord Jesus Christ will always be with you and your wife. As you mentioned already, keep posting your fishing knowledge and helping others become better anglers. cheers

You are the MAIN reason I am so caught up in all this crappie fishing. You will always be very special to me Ernest and we all thank you for what you have done. You are the REAL Mr Crappie in my eyes. You did it for the love of the sport.

Well you can take comfort in having fished for a long time and had many good times doing it. We all reach the point of having to stop someday.

Thank you Ernest for all of the posts and the information you gave me on the pontoon boat crappie setup. Your info gave me the final kick to go out and get the boat last year and could not be happier with it.

I started making fishing videos primarily because my father could not come fishing any longer due to health reasons also and wanted to make him feel like he was back out in the boat. It's a poor substitute to be sure, but hopefully you continue to check in on all of us here and give pointers when you see us messing up!

I am in your exact situation since my wife had a stroke in 2017 so I know what it is. I will be praying for you and your wife. Thank you for all you have done for the crappie fishing family.

Prayers. As we age the realization hits home that this here life on earth is the tip of the iceberg.

Sorry to hear that, but recognize the wealth of knowledge you have. Any way you can enjoy teaching us plebes in the ways of crappie?
