Question for the experts.
I have a new boat and I put 12" Garmin up front along with my Helix. The more I use the FFS, it's putting a big change in my lure presentation. I have a full selection of minnow baits now, some with swimming tail and some straight tails.
i seem to catch more fish on a simple blakemore road runner 1/16 oz or 1/8 oz head with a 2 1/2" straight tail minnow. But I am new at this, and I wondered what some of you are using that are the most consistant fish producers.

I scoped up 5 drum and a striper this week. #on a roll.....

I went out 2 times this week to scope.
Ended up catching real good numbers ....
In 2 ft of water without it...
I guess my presentation hasn't changed yet...

I went out twice last week also.
Used a 5” hollow swimbait on a 1/2 ounce Jighead and 5X crankbaits to scope a few in 12-18 feet. Crank has been super consistent for me the last couple of weeks. Then I used a C-rig to fish an area I was seeing lots of fish on the scope, but they would disappear into the bottom.

I scoped up a tree branch.

Anyone that’s headed to the classic will surely see some interesting ffs baits- Some inshore saltwater stuff, branching over to freshwater. I’ve always wonder why someone hasn’t tried this yet. Suspending/fast sinking twitch baits/Paul Brown Fat boys should mop up some bass using ffs. I know for sure Coastal Marsh will be there, y’all go check his booth out. Paints some quality spooks too.

Caught five yesterday on a red wiggle wart 5-8’ of water…but spinner bait at the same depth was the deal.

That’s kind of me I don’t throw a square bill that much because I have more confidence in a spinnerbait. Had a couple of good days with a jabberjaw last year.

I wonder if anyone has tried a DOA Terror Eyz with FFS... just think it would work for those that fish really deep... they sure work on tarpon when its hard to get them to bite.

I haven't found anything that beats a Jogging Rap when casting to schools of bass. The 7/8 oz size sinks so quickly that it's easier than any other bait to put it in front of the target. And then the rear fins give it action when you do manage to get it to them. And the best thing is that you will likely be the only person on the lake using one so you don't have to worry about the fish already being educated to it - yours will be the first they've ever seen and that makes them a lot more likely to hit it.
