I have seen some big buffalo rolling and I had less than an hour to fish today, so I threw out some range cubes. I ended up with this nice buffalo. First buffalo over 30” in 2024.

Very nice. Wife and I caught our first yesterday and today. NO ONE TOLD ME how much fun they are to catch....pull like carp, but splashed like bass. Really enjoyed it. Cannot fathom how it can't be more popular to pursue them.

Dumb question. Can you go into detail on your set up, regarding range cube. Never had the opportunity to catch one other than a cast met. Tjamks

Not mentioned anywhere here.......is that sometimes when you catch a fish on this, it looks like it smoking a cigar when you have it on the bank.

I have even tied them on the hook with fishing line. I found both of these methods lowered my hook-up rate when compared to drilling the cubes. I also found that the bands would crush the cube after prolonged time in the water. But, it is certainly easier to rig and will catch fish.

As far as crushing the cube goes, that just means you chummed the water and it's time to recast that rod. lol.. Never noticed a hook rate problem and I use the band solution for a variety of harder baits.
