... Then you take your ball and go home, if James is supposedly such a smart man he would’ve seen this years ago. In essence he did. He goaded Duckett into suspending/ banning him.. And in the process he highlighted MFL hypocrisy by showing they penalizing a guy more severely for talking than a guy who almost killed two other anglers and outright cheating... Dan

I get I said employees, not what I meant- they still sign up and agree to represent the particular league they pay into in the best light possible. I bet Watson is right, he should just move on if he wants to bash instead of sticking around. He was not going to qualify next year anyway with the big cut in the field size and MLF changing their policies and field size in game. Watson isn't a millionaire because he is dumb, he knew how his "fishing boat docks" apparel would be misconstrued by certain individuals. It was basically a huge troll, though Watson has never said #FBD meant anything but "Fishing Boat Docks". Sometimes agitation and trolling is so entertaining when the person being trolled basically trolls themself.  Well said! I get that many on here have great disdain for BD and MLF/BPT. But If your employer has a code of conduct and you violate that code, repeatedly, you're subject to immediate termination for cause. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. Employer ???

Hey Fouz, good to see you post again. I'm not a BD fan but I dont want to see MLF fail. James knew exactly what was going to happen and seems to be OK with it. He likes to clown but I have a lot of respect for him. He's very straightforward. He's not spreading lies..

Well James was fined the first time for basically stating the truth.
Since apparently everyone else decided to bite their tongue, I’m done with the BPT as long as Boyd is in charge.
He wants to suspend anglers that leave a tournament early and fine those that blatantly cheat. Now he is gonna end Watson’s BPT career because he got his feelings hurt.
They made rules, new anglers qualified according to written rules yet didn’t get in……….
Now they are cutting nearly half the field for guys that took a gamble and left other circuits.
Now the rules are set to protect the veterans. A rookie can’t have 1 bad year his first year. He has to come out the gate his first year fishing against the best and finish in the top half at a minimum and even that might not be enough this year.
While I’m not a fan of the every fish counts, it was obvious the majority was and the BPT had a good thing going, but I see Boyd screwing it up. I thought he was a good business man but I just can’t go along with treating cheaters far less harshly than those that say not nice things or want to leave a tournament early………. He is just too inconsistent.

Boyd lied! "No entry fees" he said, but once they left b.a.s.s he knew he had them. Most had career security w/ bassmaster, but now over at mlf who knows. The 2026 Bass Opens should be a "bloodbath" of a derby season.

He has won a BASS Open, a FLW Tour event, made the Classic, Has been in Top 20 in about half tge MLF events he has fished and Top 10 in about a 1/3 of the events. He has won a pile of other regional wins. Pretty strong resume for a guy that "can't" fish. Besides Connell and Wheeler who at BPT is winning all the time? Same with a coupke at BASS, who else is winning all the time?

I like Watson, but I am surprised they waited this long to push him out. Clearly violating rules he signed.. But I do not disagree with world wide.
