Caught this big fella over the weekend out the Trinity River. 6" cigar bobber for reference. Ive never seen one get this big.

Nice fish but very strange. Fish from the Trinity river usually have 3 heads or 2 1/2 tails with 3 eyes.

Bluegill (Lepomis macrochirus):

Also known as “Bream” or “Brim,” bluegill are common in the Trinity River.
These sunfish are behind-the-scenes champions, providing enjoyable fishing experiences.
Anglers often catch bluegill using worms or small jigs.
Bluegill are known for their vibrant colors and willingness to bite.
