Has anyone noticed if the carp are spawning yet? I haven't targeted them in a while but I was planning to in the next few days?

I haven’t seen signs of carp spawning yet, but they are very active.

Easter weekend the spawn was getting close, as the males were shedding milt on the mat.
One big female g toraced my net at 43 lbs 10 ozs, a 29 year pb , so I got my timing spot on, it would seem !

Not sure where yall are at but in North Texas they are spawning. I was at a lake on the OK border last week and they were going nuts in the shallows... you know like they do. Water temp was low 70s. 70-72

Can you even catch them during the spawn? They seem preoccupied big time.

I catch them every month of the year. The fish actively spawning will not be interested in eating, but there are always individuals to catch.
