Strikes again! I decided to take the SS Guppy to an old gravel pit yesterday just to calibrate the compass on the Garmin unit since it hasn`t been done and much to my chagrin I couldn`t get it done. hmmm I don`t know why but I just couldn`t get the progress bar to fill.I tried going left then right but it just wouldn`t calibrate. It got as far as 12% and that`s as far as it would go before I thru in the towel. noidea So it wouldn`t be a total loss I decided to see if I could catch a fish or two or three. That`s exactly what I did. I caught three. [Linked Image]

Thanks a lot guys! The Garmin 2D + Garmin Clear View combo screen worked for me even though I couldn`t calibrate the compass. I saw a whole bunch of fish that I would`ve never believed were in that little gravel pit/pond. It just goes to show you never know! thumb

Those are some big fish for a small pond. All the ponds that I know about that have crappie in them are full of nothing but stunted little dinks.
