Like me! I try to do what I can each time out, I really do, and then I seem to junk it right back up with treasured, sometimes sentimental and irreplaceable, not to mention - expensive a$$ stuff!

As a last ditch effort, if any kind soul out there found an unmistakable pair of rare, discontinued pliers and leather sheath on the banks of the Brazos a few weeks ago, I’d sure be grateful if you would reach out. I’ll even pay you for them.

If an unkind soul stumbled across them, well rattlesnakes for me, but gimme a shout and I’ll send you a brand new set of spare jaws that I’ll have zero use for, and add them to the list of prescription costa sunglasses, two pairs of Costa eyeglasses, a stupid expensive wading staff….you get the idea…that have been carelessly donated to the “river” we love.

Thanks

Ps pro tip - when nature calls and when buckling back up, make sure certain things didn’t fall off!

As I get older, i struggle with getting my wadding boots off. While talking about it to a fishing buddy of mine, he suggested that a guy needs a stool, exactly the same height as a toilet seat to make it easer to bend down and remove said boots. So, i built a wooden stool from scratch, to the exact height of my toilet seat. I stained it, put several coats of lacquer and epoxy on it, sanding with steel wool between each coat for a smooth, water resistant finish. Then i took it to the Nolan River where, after a hard days fishing and a two hour drive ahead of me, I left it sitting on the side of the road. And yes, it worked great... once.
