lol, oil changes won't be much cheaper than the diesels.
I am about to find out how much more the diesel is over the coyote (8 qts. too) Powerstroke what will get you is the motorcraft oil & fuel filters. Oil is maybe $75 for a 1-gallon jug and a 2.5-gallon jug. The ford brand oil & fuel filters will add another $100+

My money maker takes 40 quarts. Which reminds me, time to change it again.

Supertech is dexos licensed. My 5.4 takes 7 quarts and I can do filter and fluid for less than $35 full with full synthetic if I buy filters online. An extra quart and filter should put you about $35 maybe $38. AC delco filters have rebates right now. Look on the bottle of supertech and the bottle of mobil or pennzoil at the store. Willing to bet they’re both api sp and dexos licensed.

With how easy Walmart and rockauto make it to have stuff delivered, it’s easier and faster for me to do it at the house. I can do an oil change in 15-20 minutes tops.

When I was driving 25k per year I used a bypass filter and an oil change system that required me to replace 1 qt every 5k miles, another qt every 25k miles. Both when I changed oil filters. They recommended 10k oil analysis but after 50k miles I started doing it every 20k. Never had a problem and when I decided to do a complete oil change after 85k miles the oil analysis said that oil was still good to go. Amsoil, twin filters.
Now I use cheap T6 Rotella that is kind of synthetic and change oil once per year. My average miles per year have been 4-5k. Fuel filter when the pressure guage shows I need one.

If out of warranty do what you want, but seems pointless when you can get something that’s actually licensed and proven to meet warranty requirements by the api for much cheaper.
