I Learned This From Years Of Shore Casting & Using UW Video Cameras!

When a fish is hungry it won't be "picky". But when they do get picky i found that if they attack a baited ringed hook that flips back & forth on the bottom when played with and if there's a current or surge that causes that baited hook to move to move on it's own it'll excites the predator into striking. I've seen this on using UW video cameras.

Even though i mostly use dead baits i also use live crabs that i catch on location. When i do my catch rate percentage goes way up. Most experienced anglers know this but to actually see this as it happens is inspiring.

I mostly use Mustad Ringed hooks in 2/0, 3/0 & 4/0. The 3/0 is a good all around size for multi species & sizes. You can use any brand of Ringed Hooks but i like Mustad. It's been my go to brand for years. And i'm mainly targeting Jacks to Bonefish off the Hawaiian shorelines in depths ranging from 2-8ft
