 Longnose Gar Pending Record. Cibolo Creek!

Congratulations to Chance Tidwell of San Antonio TX on his pending record Longnose Gar, which he caught on the Cibolo Creek. Chance was using cut bait and had a nice fight before landing the fish. The official weight of the fish was 11.38 Lbs. The length of the fish was 49.75". The previous record Longnose Gar for the Cibolo Creek was 11.28 Lbs. which was caught back on January of 2009. Paper work will be sent to the Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept. for their review. Nice Gar! Congratulations to Chance on his pending record catch! Good job.  Side Note: Been seeing a lot of gar on the move at places I have been fishing. I lost one that hit a fly I was using while flyfishing. That would have been my second gar caught on the fly. Great fighters.

Yes they are very active.
