New lakes supposedly fish well, the first decade. You should have guides all over trying to get on you lake now.

Some decent rains the past week in NW Burnet County. Enough to keep things green and keep the critters happy but not enough to do anything for the lakes.

From 5:30 yesterday afternoon till 5:00 this morning we got over 5". just south of Huntsville. My gauge was overflowing this morning and two of three routes to work were closed due to the road being underwater.
