2020 Tundra 4x4 5.7 pulling a 21 ZXR 20. Mileage sucks. It's always sucked. 55 mph or 80 mph. But its my 3rd one since 07. Not real excited that I cant get that 5.7 any longer when I buy my next Tundra.

If you live in Louisiana this is the norm..... Been on a couple of roads in LA and 55 was too fast for the road conditions.

#s posted are all with conditions that are unknown,

One of the reasons I did it there was zero traffic.
Grew up in Louisiana and most the state highways are still 55. Law enforcement; especially around any small town; will enforce the speed limit to the letter, its their cash cow. Since being in Texas for over 30 years it felt REAL strange to drive that slow.
If any of you have plans to go to Caney Lake in Louisiana if you go through either Eros or Chatham watch your speed. I'd be slightly under the limit if anything.

I get the same numbers with a 2015 ram 1500 4x4 with a hemi
Higher numbers come from using cruise control

The baby duramax seems to be very good on fuel.
My 5.9 Cummins is a little over 20 unloaded at 70 mph and pulls about 17 mpg but its a 2600 pound boat and trailer.

2006 Duramax LBZ and a 22ft center console

Empty on the highway I’ve seen 21mpg. With the boat in tow, around 15-17mpg depending different factors. And that’s hand calculated

My rig is around 2,000lbs with trailer. Towing with a 2020 F150 FX4 3.5 with 3.55 tear end and I average 19mph at 65mph from South Florida to Texas. I get 23 without a trailer.

I'm the same way 2021 4X4 Tundra with 5.7 liter engine pulling a 21 foot BassCat Cougar. I'm on my third Tundra also. Not sure what I'm going to do now that the 5.7 is no longer available. I have several years to figure that out.

In my 2020 F250 w/6.2 I can get 11.2 towing if I keep it under 75, Under 70 I can see 12.2, but that is about the limit of gas saving as anything slower around DFW you just become an impediment on the freeway towing a boat.

i know a v6 isn't as sexy as a v8, but my 2022 tundra would out pull my 2016 tundra 5.7 without a doubt.

2020 F250 with the 6.2... Cruising down the highway with cruise control set at 78 i'm getting somewhere north of 14mpg... Pulling the Bullet at or around the same speed I'm getting 11mpg... Around the city I have no idea since I don't use it as a grocery getter... The wife's Grand Cherokee does that... Dan

Yes. I hear ya. I hear what Toyota is saying as well. Its a proven motor from the "Lexus" line. I love the interior. Outside looks just OK, but better with some big tires. No replacement for displacement. When you have to start adding this and adding that to make up for cubic inches, your just asking for trouble. But, if anyone can do it right, it's Toyota. We will see in a few years.

2016 F150 3.5L Ecobeast

Love this truck and the power it has. I usually get around 12-13 MPG towing. Unless it was our travel trailer then it was around 10-12 depending on the wind / incline.

My average is 15.6 MPH for the life of the truck. It has a 2.5" Level kit, 22" Fuel wheels, and 33" Nittos. Had it remained stock, I bet I would get an increase of 2-3 MPG.
