Hey guys, I have a 2014 2 Stroke Mercury Optimax Pro XS 150 that is relatively new to me. It has about 166 hours on it.

The fella that had it before me took great care of it, but not of the service items were documented.

I accumulated all of the needed items, like spark plugs, water pump, air filter, anodes, thermostats, etc.

I had every intention of doing all of them myself, but after looking into it, decided I’d rather pay a professional do the more involved work. I’ve knocked out the lower unit oil change, air filter, and anodes.

Will a repair shop take and use the items I purchased and perform the remaining work for me? Or will they make me purchase them all over again?

All parts are OEM.

Oil change on a 2 cycle? Thermostats are probably the easiest item to replace out of the items you bought. Spark plugs are also easy with maybe the exception of the bottom 2. I pulled the lower cowling on mine to access them. Not sure on the 2014 but there is also a screen on the lower block that is part of the compressor cooling system. Have you looked at any You Tube videos. Not sure on repair shop ?. Probably depends on shop.
