Tyler, Troup, and now Flint.

I moved back to the Tyler area to take care of my parents. I promised my mother she would never go to a nursing home. I was there hen she passed away in the house she raised me in. Dad is 90 and once we see him to his final repose we may move back towards Dallas or somewhere. It has not been a smooth transition but I’m glad we did it. Who knows, I might go to Montana in a few years when my duties are complete.

Only 1,816 miles by quickest route from where I was born thru high school to where I retired to.

In the same town where you were born? I was born in Rosenberg, Tx about 40 miles SW of Houston but I live in Houston for 4o years before moving out here in the country. What about you? I lived in Fort Bend County, not Rosenberg but dang close in Pecan Grove. Job and divorce took me other places but really enjoyed living there.

Me and my wife still live where we grew up in Erath County. My great great grandparents came to Erath County in the 1800`s from Missouri and Tennessee before that. He died in 1886 and she passed in 1913. Both are buried in an old country cemetery about 5 miles from where I live now. I was there in the early 60`s with my grandmother and aunt but forgot where it was at since I was so young. I finally found it last summer and went and seen their graves for the time in almost 60 years. The tombstone was about 4' tall and the lettering was still visible but worn. My Grandparents lived in Erath County, Little place called Lingleville I would go spend summers with them they are buried in a cemetery that was around the corner from their home,

Born in St. Louis. When I was 4 or 5 moved to Richardson. Then moved across the road into Dallas. Then moved to Montpelier, VT. Then moved to Miami, FL.
No, Dad wasn't military. On my 10th birthday we moved out of the fifth house, in the fifth City, I had lived in and came back to Richardson and that's where I grew up.
After college I lived in East Dallas for 10 years and then when I married my ex moved back to Richardson where I stayed until I moved to Greenville and married my now Wife. .
