Is there a go to split shot weight that you find yourself going to on a typical Blue Gill rig?
I would rather not buy an assortment and have all the ones I’ll never use.

I use 1/4 ounce split shot with ears for easy removal. If you are using a small bobber you may need one a little lighter. I may use 2 on a line to cast further. hooked

Side Note: Heavy grass beds and a strong current could also play a factor on the weight of the split shot.

1/80th oz unpainted jig head with a piece of crawler fished on 2 or 4 pound like. It is deadly.
