It amazes me just how often they launch Starlink rockets/satellites with such success.

They've brought a whole new approach to the process. Sort of an ongoing R&D process where testing and updates are done simultaneously. They make long term decisions, rather than focus solely on the next mission.

I really wan to make a point to see a launch live in correlation with a S Padre fishing trip.

We absolutely love our starlink service. Not often something you buy actually exceeds expectations.

I was at S. Padre when they tried to launch the starship for the 1st time. We sat on the pier at the condo and watched the launch. Very impressive and noisy. That was bucket list deal for me.

I just saw that there were over 5900 Starlink satellites in orbit. About like boats on Fork on tourney days.

No, just at the house.
The setup was stupid easy. Mounted the dish on top of the house, through bolted and sealed for wind, ran the cables, turned it on, it searched around, found the satellite, and it was ready to go. It's gone down for maybe two minutes in a torrential storm, and that's been it.

After suffering hughesnet for years, this is a zillion percent better. Had three TV's streaming, four kids on their phones and never missed a beat.

What's the price on something like that?

I'm glad there are wine drinkers in this world ..... it saves more beer for the rest of us.

I think it's 109 a month.

We don't have a reliable option, cell service is sketchy, we had a wireless connection with a outfit called wavenet, it was adequate, then they sold out and it went to zip.

It's on my bucket list. Something like this.

I believe they plan on around 50k satellites by the time they are done. Starlink is still in its infancy believe it or not.
